In 2007, after gaining valuable experience, I made the decision to join Bury St Edmunds Golf Club. This move marked an important step in my golfing journey, as I became part of a vibrant club community and continued to progress as a player. I spent most of my career in software development, leading global teams to deliver solutions for telecoms, law enforcement and government clients. Several decades ago at BT’s R&D establishment in Martlesham, I worked on a team exploring the potential impact of something new called the World Wide Web in our workplace. I still wonder what became of that. Following retirement, I balance time with family, music, golf and the occasional football match. I've recently served on both the Social and Seniors’ committees and am now happy to take a turn as Seniors’ Captain. I am excited to take on new challenges and reconnect with both long-time friends and new acquaintances. My goal is to honour the club's traditions while also welcoming the ongoing changes toward greater diversity and equality.
