CLUB HISTORY
Golfing since 1924
The golf course’s original design was by the first British Ryder Cup team captain Ted Ray, winner of an Open and a US Open. It measured 6,087 yards, which was regarded as long for a non-links course. Today’s measurement of 6,676 off the white tees is still the second longest in Suffolk

At Bury St Edmunds Golf Club, we are proud to offer our spectacular clubhouse as a venue hire for corporate events and private parties. Our function rooms boast stunning views of our golf course, making it the perfect setting for whatever your private event.
We can cater for up to 120 people if seated, and 90 if a dance floor is required, making our venue hire perfect for a wide variety of events
Our Pro Shop is stocked full of golf equipment at very competitive prices. Carrying the latest clubs from industry leaders Ping, Titleist, Callaway and Wilson, paired with a full custom fit service to make sure they suit your swing.
For clothing we have a range of shirts, jumpers, outer layers, trousers, waterproofs and shoes. Tees, balls and divot repair tools make sure you’re ready to hit the course
