Cafe Chef Job Vacancy
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and organised individual to assist our head chef and management in operating our busy restaurant kitchen. You will be responsible for looking after the lunch menu which includes a selection of sandwiches, paninis, hot meals, and light bites. You will also be required to ensure your station is fully prepped by the start of each shift, whilst following our high standards in food hygiene and organisation. You will be passionate about food with a desire to produce food to the highest standard. You will be required to not only accurately follow direction from the head chef but also use your own initiative and experience in decision making. This position is full time, but the hours each week will vary dependant on the needs of the business.

Salary dependant on experience: £18,500 – £19,500

Bar & Catering Supervisor Job Vacancy
Bury St Edmunds Golf Club is based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds and is a members golf club. The Bar & Catering department provide a lunch menu for golfers throughout the day but also serve a variety of functions to outside events such as themed dinner evenings, and family celebrations. We currently have an exciting opportunity in a department that is growing ever busier and we are looking to grow further still.
We are looking for a responsible and committed individual to work as a Bar & Catering Supervisor. This person will be experienced in the industry and looking to further develop their career. Knowledge on cellar management would be a valuable asset to any applicant. The position available is a contracted, 24hrs/week and is paid at £19,000 pro-rata. There will be opportunities for overtime as the business demands it.
Your role at Bury St Edmunds Golf Club will be to work on the bar serving a variety of drinks, taking food orders, and dealing with member & customer requests, and therefore the successful applicant will have a quality set of customer service skills. You will be responsible for preparing and setting up events on a daily basis. You will have key holder responsibilities and will be required to follow shutdown procedures of the bar and catering department, and therefore you must have experience with cash handling. We pride ourselves with a fantastic reputation on both quality food and service. We are looking for someone to help us maintain and develop this to the next level. Shift hours vary dependent on the needs of the business. Applicants must be available to work, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
