COME AND JOIN US !
Bury St Edmunds Golf Club has an enthusiastic membership of 730 with all age groups well represented. Each of the various sections - men, women, seniors and juniors - offers a full competition schedule, aimed at players of all standards. The fixtures range from events like the 36-hole Club Championships to less formal Bank Holiday scrambles and fun competitions. We also run roll-up friendly events, like the Wednesday evening social golf and ladies' Monday mornings.
But there is no pressure to compete regularly, many of our members play just for the pleasure of the company, environment and physical and mental challenge. Golf is a wonderful hobby at any level, with a varied social calendar attached.
Currently we are operating a waiting list in some sections, but welcome applications, either introduced by existing members or by contacting the club's general manager Mike Verhelst. Either way, a warm welcome awaits.
Please contact the club for full details on membership rates, including details on how to spread your annual membership fees over 12 months, making your membership of the Golf Club more manageable.
Fees for individual membership, which is open to men or women, are shown below. Please contact us directly to discuss our various payment options.
All details below are for full 7 day membership.

If you interested in playing or learning to play golf, as well as the other golf specific activities then we are sure you will be interested in one of the two new Junior Golf Programmes we have introduced.
Programme 1 ~ is called the JDP (Junior Development Programme) and is one we have run for several years at Bury St Edmunds. Over the years it has given opportunity to dozens of children to access the game of golf for a relatively low cost.
It works very simply:-
You pay a £20.00 yearly administration fee which then allows you to play on our 9 hole course for just £5.00 per day (weekdays or weekends). Please note children 12 years or below must be accompanied by an older person (minimum 16 years) for the entire time they are at the golf club.
Programme 2 ~ called JDP+ is an exciting new programme which can lower the cost of playing the game even further and involves much more coaching and golf education. To join the JDP+ you need to be under 15 years of age. The cost is £100 which includes 10 coaching sessions (value £50.00) and unlimited golf on our 9 hole course for no further charge.
Both programmes include:-
Membership Card
Club Evening ~ Tuesdays under 13's
Coaching/Club evening fixture card
Access to organised events
A handicap system
Pathway to Golf Club membership
If you are interested in joining one of these programmes please ask anyone of the Professional Shop Staff in the Pro Shop or telephone on
